I like the white box, it make it look a bit more organized. maybe experiment with the brightness of it though, if you aren't liking the white shade, you could always afford to make it darker

the first one has more style while the secend one is cleaner... so some balance between them two would be perfect I think.

Like the others have said, I'd like a mix of both to balance it out.
