Due to an unexpected database update fail, the forum had to undergo a reset to an August backup. This sadly means all new user registations and content posted between 08-08-2020 and 12-24-2020 has been wiped. We apologize for the inconvenience and have taken measures to prevent this error from happening in the future.

Mods for Minecraft: Do you use them?

As the title suggests, do you use mods for your minecraft installation? If so, what mods, and why?

This is a signature, and also a self referential statement.

Tekkit has sadly seemed to go down the drain with every new update it releases. It was amazing earlier in 2012 but now its... well... disappointing.

To answer the question of the OP though, I've been using the Feed the Beast modpack, specifically the "Ultimate" one within the launcher. It has all the features Tekkit has (I.. believe?) and a lot more, so many added goodies to find and work towards, plus it all performs rather well.

EDIT: A little amendment to the above post: FTB does not quite have every mod Tekkit does, though I still maintain that it has more mods.
