Ripping models and textures from Spore Creatures (DS)

Remember that mods you download that are created by Davo REQUIRE Spore: Galactic Adventures and REQUIRE your game to be installed & patched in this order.
  • - Install Spore Game
  • - (OPTIONAL) Install Spore C&C
  • - Install Spore Galactic Adventures
  • - Patch Spore and Spore Galactic Adventures to 1.5.1

Ripping models and textures from Spore Creatures (DS)

I have been trying for some time now to rip/extract assets from Spore Creatures (Nintendo DS), but with no luck. I think I have come close with Console Tool and Tinke, but it seems like the game's graphics are compressed in a format that neither of these tools can properly extract. I have also tried Ninja Ripper, but that doesn't seem to work at all.
Someone please help; I am going absolutely mad trying to figure this out. All the given tutorials make it seem so easy but it's just not happening with this game.
